I have been pretty busy lately and slipping on the blog posts. That doesn't mean I haven't been in the 96815 - swimming in the sea, hitting my favorite spots, or pounding the hot summer pavement in search of the next best thing in Waikiki. In all honestly, like I have said before, it has been really hot! Actually, one of the hottest summers on record in Hawaii, which has me feeling a little uninspired and questioning my choice to live in this sweltering urban jungle. Part of me wants to run off to somewhere less crowded, where the living is easy and the temperature is at least 10 degrees cooler, but when it comes down to it, this is my happy place and where I feel most alive. All I need is the perfect, effortless, breathable outfit, an ice cold coconut, and my favorite stretch of beach along Kalakaua Avenue to bring me back to center. Oh ya, a refreshing shower in the company of a world class sunset helps a bit too.
